Tin Mừng hôm nay cho chúng ta thấy là tình yêu vô điều kiện là tình yêu biết chấp nhận và cách tiếp cận với những người xa lánh giữa xã hội. Những người Pharêsiêu và các thầy thông giáo cho rằng việc tiếp cân với những tội lỗi thì không thể chấp nhận và thậm chí còn gây thêm tai tiếng xấu. Chúa Giêsu cho chúng ta biết là: Người khỏe mạnh không bao giờ cần thầy thuốc, nhưng những người đau yếu. bệnh tật thì mới cần thầy thuốc. “Ta đã không đến để kêu gọi người công chính, nhưng để kêu gọi những người tội lỗi biết ăn năn”.Chúng tôi đang ở đây nhắc nhở rằng Chúa Giêsu là người chữa lành của Thiên Chúa. Ông nuôi dưỡng và đưa chúng ta trở lại cuộc sống. Nó chỉ là thông qua anh ta rằng chúng ta kinh nghiệm chữa lành hoàn toàn của cơ thể và tâm trí. và quan trọng nhất, ông chữa lành chúng ta từ bên trong, giải thoát chúng ta khỏi tội lỗi mà chúng ta làm cho đau đớn. ông cho chúng ta thấy rằng tất cả mọi người là xứng đáng với tình yêu và sự chữa lành của Thiên Chúa.
Chúng ta thuộc về quang phổ của thứ yếu trong thời gian khi chúng ta bất lực, dễ bị tổn thương và hoàn toàn không biết gì về những gì để làm. Trong cuộc sống của chúng ta bị phá vỡ, chúng ta tiếp tục là thị trường hấp dẫn của tình yêu và sự chăm sóc. Tin Mừng cho chúng ta thấy rằng Chúa Giêsu tạo ra một bầu không khí của niềm tin, tình yêu vô điều kiện, từ bi. Ông cần có thời gian ra ngoài ăn uống với những người đang cần nhất. Trong chức vụ, tiệc chiêu đãi và thức ăn của mình chơi một mệnh t lớn trong việc chữa lành các mối quan hệ. Nó là thích hợp nhất mà Thánh Thể của chúng ta là một kỷ niệm mà hợp giữa Thiên Chúa và chúng ta. Nó là thông qua các Bí tích Thánh Thể mà chúng ta đến với nhau như một kỷ niệm tình yêu và sự chữa lành của Thiên Chúa. Chia sẻ trong Mình và Máu canh tân tinh thần của chúng ta. Có phải chúng ta mở cửa cho tổng chữa lành của Thiên Chúa khi chúng ta tiếp cận anh trong Thánh Lễ? Có phải chúng ta đã sẵn sàng để chấp nhận những người khác cũng cần tình yêu chữa lành của Chúa Kitô?

REFLECTION
The Gospel speaks of unconditional love and acceptance by reaching out to those shunned by society. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law deemed it unacceptable and even scandalous to be in the company of those who were deemed unclean. "Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." We are reminded here that Jesus is the divine healer. He nurtures and brings us back to life. It is only through him that we experience complete healing of body and mind. And most importantly, he heals us from within, frees us from the sins that ail us. He shows us that everybody is worthy of God's love and healing.
We belong to the spectrum of the marginalized during times when we are helpless, vulnerable and totally clueless of what to do. In our broken lives, we continue to be in dire need of love and care. The Gospel shows us that Jesus creates an atmosphere of trust, unconditional love, compassion and kindness. He takes time out to eat and drink with the people who are most in need. In his ministry, banquets and food play a major par t in healing relationships. It is most fitting that our Eucharist is a commemoration of that union between God and us. It is through the Eucharist that we come together as one to celebrate God's love and healing. Sharing in his Body and Blood renews our spirits. Are we open to God's total healing when we approach him at Holy Mass? Are we ready to accept xothers who also need the healing love of Christ?

Opening Prayer:

Lord, give me a deep spirit of faith during this meditation, the conviction that you are speaking to me through the Holy Spirit, to light up my life and the path I am following during this Lent. Help me to be generous when you nudge me towards greater authenticity.

Encountering Christ:
1. “Follow Me”: As we begin Lent, the Church reminds us through this Gospel passage that Jesus always initiates our following of him. Levi, better known as St. Matthew, was perhaps a little perplexed when he heard this call. Caravaggio’s great painting captures this moment, depicting the tax collector with a surprised, “Who? Me?” kind of look. Indeed, we should all feel like that. We have not earned the grace to follow Jesus; it is a free gift given with immeasurable love. As with Levi, this call challenges us to abandon the comfort zone of spiritual mediocrity for something much greater.
2. Celebration: We see Levi wanting to share the joy of apostleship with others. They were his old crowd, probably not the most savory folks, but they could already sense something profoundly different in Levi. The overflowing grace of repentance that Levi exuded was already evangelizing those around him. Jesus would say later to the chief priests: “Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.” Levi was first in line of the stunning converts made by Jesus, and he communicated the grace Jesus gave him to others. Therein lies an important goal for our Lent: to send off ripple effects of the graces we receive.
3. The Originality of Jesus: The Pharisees certainly had their struggles with the innovative nature of Jesus’s ministry. He was breaking down certain conventions that were, in effect, a straight jacket on evangelization. Nevertheless, it would be wrong to say that Jesus was “anti-tradition”; after all, he came to “fulfill not abolish” the law and prophets. But new wine does need new wineskins. Let’s look at our own lives. What might we try doing differently to be better, more engaged apostles?
Conversing with Christ: Lord, what an effect your encounter had on Levi. I, too, rejoice that you have come into my life and are inviting me to be your apostle. Sometimes I feel like my wheels are spinning. But I trust that the light of the Holy Spirit can help me to find new ways to live a more holy life and to be a better ambassador of how blest the Catholic life is.
Resolution: Lord, today by your grace I will joyfully share my faith with someone, as did Levi.
