Suy Niệm Tin Mừng Thứ Năm tuần Ba Phục Sinh John 6:44-51

Trong bài tin mừng hôm nay, chúng ta cần phải nhìn sâu hơn và tìm hiểu chính xác những gì mà Chúa nói đã với chúng ta hôm nay. Liên tục trong Tin Mừng Gioan, Chúa Giêsu nói với chúng ta rằng hễ ai tin thì được sự sống, nhưng sau đó Ngài lai đưa ra cho chúng ta những tiêu chuẩn thế nào là tin. Không phải chỉ có tin vào Chúa Giêsu là đủ, nhưng chúng ta phải tin vào tất cả những lời Ngài dạy dỗ cho chúng ta, Trọng tâm giáo huấn của Ngài được tập trung vào Thánh Thể. Chúng ta phải hiểu rằng Ngài thể hiện chức vụ tư tế của Ngài theo trình tự Menchizedek.  Chúa cho chúng ta thấy rất rõ ràng là của lễ hy sinh để hiến tế Thiên Chúa chính là thân xác chính ngài. Tấm bánh miến mà ngài dâng đó chính là xác thịt của Chúa Giêsu Kitô dâng lên Chúa Cha để đem lại sự sống cho toàn thế giới.  Đây là ma-na , là bánh từ trời đem xuống để mọi người được ăn uống no đủ và  sẽ không bao giờ chết. Đó là những gì mà Chúa Giêsu Kitô đã ban cho chúng ta, và cũng vì đó mà Chúa đã nói, "Bất cứ ai tin thì sẽ được sự sống."

Reflection:

Jesus invites us to par take of himself. Everything we do in our lives should be centered on Christ. His teachings, His example should be imbibed in our everyday reality. That's why Jesus expresses to those present then, and to us living now, and also to those who are yet to come, that He is the source for what we really need.  The ancestors of the Jews on their Exodus roamed the desert and subsisted on manna, the bread from heaven. They eventually expired, but the real Bread that Christ wants to give is really his own Body in the Eucharist which leads to everlasting life. As we go to him each time we hear Mass, he will physically enter our system through the consecrated host. Hopefully, what we have gathered from the readings and the Gospel will also feed our minds to pursue heavenly things.  When Jesus becomes such an integral part of how we deal with people and what we decide to accomplish for the day, the promise of living in His kingdom begins at that very moment. Where Christ's love triumphs, that brings about the hope and joy of a world like no other. And this can only be made possible, when we are truly grateful to partake of this real bread of life and cup of salvation.
